For wood 4" x 4" treated lumber installation:
- Make sure your wood 4" x 4" post is plumb (you can find this out by using a post level).
- Once your wood post is plumb, make sure it is sturdy use more fasteners if needed.
- Make sure post is NOT taller than the height of the vinyl post sleeve
- Slide post sleeve over the wood 4" x 4" post
- Slide on post skirt
- Place post cap on

For on concrete installation:(requires concrete post mounts) (Hammer drill is needed along with hammer and tightening tools)
- Secure your concrete post mount by tightening the anchor bolt(s) making sure it is plumb while doing so.
- Slide vinyl post sleeve over the mount
- Slide on post skirt
- Place post cap on
